BLOODLINE MYSTERY TOUR II - DEEPER INTO THE MYSTERIES - SPRING 2011

Rennes-le-Chateau, France
April 17th - 23rd, 2011

This tour is designed for those who joined us on Bloodline Mystery Tour I 2010 and wish to return to the Languedoc to delve deeper into the Mysteries.

It is also open to those who have traveled to the area already and are seeking to go deeper on their path, both in their historical and experiential understanding.

7 DAY ITINERARY

The Languedoc and Rennes-le-Chateau, France
Spring 2011
April 17-23, 2011

Day 1:
Coustassa, Cassaignes, Peyrolles
The Great Camp, and Rennes le Chateau

On this first day, we will make multiple stops at important locations along certain lines of alignment to understand the vastness of this invisible temple. These locations are in the shadow of Peche Cardou and will give us a more visual understanding of our ascent the next day.

We will look at the curious stone structures Henry Lincoln points out in The Holy Place. Were they really shepherd’s huts? Or are they, as one historian told Lincoln, “reminiscent of Neolithic bee-hive burial chambers”? Or even the “legendary city of the Visigoths, of which Rennes le Chateau is supposed to be the sole remaining trace.” (The Holy Place by Henry Lincoln)

Once we finish examining these upper terrains, we will return to Rennes le Chateau and review the details and clues in and around the village and the Church of Mary Magdalene.

We will end the day with dinner together.

The Great Camp and Peche Cardou

Day 2:
The Magical Mountain of Peche Cardou

On this day we will make the long ascent to the top of Peche Cardou.

For those who wish to participate, we will hold a simple ceremony around the medicine wheel atop this beautiful mountain, where local legends say the tomb, of the relics of Jesus, is located.

Once there, you can decide for yourself if this is a gateway to other dimensions, above and below, and consider what other intuitive impressions may come. Were the remains of Jesus buried here? Is there an entrance to an underground repository? And if so, where is it?

Whatever mysteries remain uncertain, one thing is clear – Peche Cardou is a magnificent vista with outstanding views of the surrounding area.

There will be no group dinner on this evening, so your time is your own.

Day 3:
Gorge de Galamus
Rennes les Bains

We will make our way through the village of Rennes les Bains once again, this time stopping to notice the magical waters of the Sals and Blanque Rivers joining together in this place.

Was there a legendary connection with the Blanque River, Joseph of Arimathea, Nicholas Roerich, and the grail? And if so, what could it mean for the mystery of Rennes?

After lunch in the village, we will travel on to the stunning Gorge de Galamus, and its Ermitage St Antoine-de-Galamus, another spectacular cavern in the earth. There is an original grotto with a spring at the gorge, and its protection is attributed to Mary Magdalene.

And then there is the story of Albert Foncay Map and Sister Marie Bernard-Brauge who ventured inside a cavity in the gorge in 1597. No one is certain why and no one knows what happened to Sister Marie. Mr. Map died three weeks later.

There is more to discover in this place, like the Magic Square - SATOR – AREPO – TENET – OPERA – ROTAS. Some say these words reflect an early Celtic influence, specifically druidism. Galamus is also Celtic in origin. So what is this doing in a Catholic sanctuary?

We will end the day with dinner together.

Day 4:
Mount Bugarach: Entrance to the Otherworld?

This is another very important mountain in the area. Some feel it opens doorways to the inner earth. “It is known that a vast network of subterranean galleries exist beneath this peak through which the water of the region’s aquifers circulate.” (The Secret Message of Jules Verne by Michel Lamy)

Jules Verne certainly had a fascination for the place. Remember Journey to the Center of the Earth with Captain Bugarach? Some say his novel Clovis Dardentor encodes the secrets of the Rennes le Chateau region within his work of fiction.

Bugarach is big and its energies can be overpowering at times. It is one of the more bizarre and curious elements in the Rennes le Chateau mystery, especially when it comes to the secretive activities of one Daniel Bettex.

He was “a former security officer at Geneva airport and amateur spelunker who first became fascinated with the story of the Cathars in the early nineteen-seventies. He embarked on a long running correspondence with Deodat Roche - Rudolph Steiner's principal disciple and the guiding light behind the modern neo-Cathar movement. Bettex wanted to know about remote, unexplored areas where he could conduct his own research and further the overall knowledge of the seemingly vanished faith. Roche pointed him towards the densely wooded area surrounding the volcanic caldera of Mount Bugarach which had played an important role in the survival of the faith after the fall of Montsegur.” (shadowtheatre13.com/danielbettex.html)

There is much secrecy surrounding the Bettex story, and even more fuel was added to the fire because of his mysterious death, supposedly right before he was about to uncover a major discovery…

We will also visit the village church and try and make sense of some of the oddities depicted inside, like the Book of Seven Seals, the grail chalice, and their possible Cathar connection.

There will be no group dinner on this evening, so your time is your own.

Day 5:
Cathar Castles of Queribus and Peyrepertuse

The Cathar religion was once bigger than the Roman Church, and was known as the ‘true church.’ The Albigensian Crusades were set up specifically to wipe out this Gnostic Christian sect, and was so successful that today, despite the scope of their reach at their height, few people in the world have even heard of the Cathars. However, many locals still hold Cathar beliefs and are proud of this heritage. You may have noticed the many signs in the area, stating proudly, “Pays Cathare”…. Cathar Country!

On the last tour we journeyed to Montsegur, considered the last stronghold of the Cathars until it fell in 1244. On the Bloodline Mystery Tour II, we will take in two more breathtaking castles of these amazing and devout people.

Queribus was a strategically located fortress of stone. Unlike Montsegur, there is much to see inside the remaining structure. And there is a theory that its dungeon was a great solar calendar.

Peyrepertuse is said to be the best example in the Languedoc of military architecture from the Middle Age. It consists of a feudal and royal castle and a Saint Mary church.

There will be no group dinner on this evening, so your time is your own.

Day 6:
The Cave of Limousis
Medieval Mirepoix

Since there is so much talk of what’s underground in the Languedoc region of France, we decided to take you - underground. In this fascinating guided tour, we will walk through tunnels and halls, past an underground pool that has stunning views of calcite and aragonite crystals.

Then we will make our way to the historic medieval village of Mirepoix, with its cafes, colorful building facades and carved beams on the Maison de Consuls. The old village houses an incredible gothic-styled cathedral - the Cathedral of Saint Maurice. It is the second largest single-nave church in Europe and is a historic monument. And there are some heretical clues here, too!

We will end the day with dinner together.

Mirepoix Cathedral

Day 7:
The Cave of the Magdalene

On this day we will make our way to the location where Ben Hammott found the chest with the artifacts featured in Bloodline. Curiously, as one ascends the stairs of Sauniere’s Tour Magdala in Rennes-le-Chateau, the eye is drawn to a small, strange window through which one’s vision is directed across La Val Dieu (The Valley of God) to precisely this same set of caves…

We will leave the rest of the day to the synchronicity of Rennes, and end the tour with dinner together…
